Mariah Hughes is the Marketing Coordinator at Eastern Maine Community College.

Mariah is using “old school digital,” to coin a new term, to improve outreach at EMCC. So many colleges have forgotten about the value of email, but not Mariah. Listen and learn how she created a newsletter, and how it is being used to improve recruitment and retention.

Mariah Hughes was born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts, and went to the University of Maine from 2013-2017, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a Marketing focus. She went on to work as the Communication Specialist and Marketing Coordinator for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the School of Performing Arts at UMaine. From this position she went on to becoming the Marketing Coordinator at Eastern Maine Community College, where she is currently.
